Position Description
Educates the campus about appropriate behavioral expectations for students, College policies and procedures and means of resolving conflicts formally and informally. Serves as an advocate for students by promoting a fair conduct process, providing education about students’ rights and responsibilities, and advising faculty and staff on respectful and appropriate means of addressing behaviors that adversely impact the educational environment. Promotes student responsibility, civility, and engagement by facilitating the student conduct process and designing and implementing intentional programmatic outreach about specific topics related to student community standards.
Position Requirements
Education:
- Master’s degree in Higher Education (Student Affairs) or related area.
Experience:
- At least two years of full-time experience at a post-secondary institution with responsibilities conducting case management,
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal laws including FERPA, Title IX, and ADA, and best practices in student conduct administration.
- Demonstrated experience with problem-solving, mediation, conflict resolution,
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organization and detail orientation skills.
- Commitment and focus on fairness, student learning, and student development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active membership in the Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA), including past attendance at the ASCA Gehring Academy.
- Exposure and experience with restorative justice principles/practices.
- Experience using Maxient™.
- Experience with conducting sex-based misconduct investigations.
- Membership on a college or university threat assessment or behavioral intervention team.
Salary Information: $58,823-$69,117-$79,411
